RECENT PROJECTS

Highway 81, Norfolk, NE

The South Highway 81 Sanitary Sewer and Lift Station project included 13,250’ of 10” sanitary sewer, 2100’ of sanitary sewer services, sewer lift station, 4000’ of sewer force main, and 7300 SY of paving to provide sanitary sewer service to the businesses and homes along Highway 81 south of the Elkhorn River in Norfolk, NE.  The difficulty and scale of this project earned it a finalist spot in NUCA’s 2016 Top Jobs competition.

Industrial Park Sanitary Sewer, South Sioux City, NE

Project included approximately 4500 feet of 30″ VCP and 2900 feet of 30″ Ultra-Rib PVC Sanitary Sewer and remodeling the BPI Lift Station to serve the Roth Industrial Park.

Lake Area and Yankton Area Transmission Improvements Phase 4: B-Y Water District, Yankton, SD

Project consisted of approximately 9 miles of 24″, 20″ and 16″ ductile iron water main.

Southeast Morningside Sanitary Sewer, Sioux City, IA

This $3.5 million dollar project included 5,400 feet of 30” VCP and 4,500 feet of 24” VCP gravity sewer and 4,600 feet of 10” force main to provide a trunk sewer serving the Whispering Creek area of Sioux City.  The wet conditions posed several challenges including removal and replacement of over 20,000 cubic yards of unsuitable soils for trench backfill.  Additional work on the project included building a service road along the alignment with 22,500 cubic yards of dirtwork, 5,500 tons of aggregate surfacing, and 950’ of culverts.

Norfolk Airport, Norfolk, NE

At the Norfolk Regional Airport we were tasked with removing and replacing nearly 14,000 feet of existing storm sewer main and installing 6900’ of underdrain piping.  We’re replacing 36 area inlets and manholes and are performing approximately 18,000 cubic yards of grading around those structures to improve drainage.

Western Hills Water Project, Sioux City, IA
Our crew bores under a street in this photo. The Western Hills to Indian Hills Pressure Zone and Tank Demolition Project consisted of approximately 15,500 feet of 16-inch PVC Water Main with associate fittings, valves, hydrants and approximately 1,500 feet of 1-inch, 1.5-inch and 2-inch water services. Half of the project was installed under residential paving and restored. The project took approximately 10 working months to complete.

Braasch Avenue 1st Street to 5th Street, Norfolk, NE

This project was a NUCA top job award winner. This project was located in Norfolk, NE. This project consisted of constructing a new street, sidewalk, and landscaping along Braasch Ave from 1st street to 5th Street. Project included water main, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, curb inlets and street lighting. Braasch Avenue took 7 working months to complete.

Laurel, NE Downtown Revitalization

This project was located in Laurel, NE. The improvements for this project included 16,000 square yards of pavement and sidewalk removal and 12,000 square yards of new pavement and sidewalk. Storm Sewer improvements include 3,000 LF of RCP storm sewer, 20 new inlets and associated laterals, 1,300 linear feet of new water main. 1,200 linear feet of PVC sanitary sewer, 21 new street lighting fixtures and associated wiring, and landscaping improvements with 34 trees and other plantings. This project is estimated to be complete Spring of 2022.
